Abstract

This presentation aims to explore the use of fiction as a powerful tool for second language writers to find their voice in academic discourse. Drawing upon the creative and expressive nature of storytelling, this study seeks to investigate how engaging with fiction can enhance language proficiency, cultural understanding, and self-expression among second language writers. By incorporating literary devices, narrative techniques, and personal narratives, this approach offers a unique pathway to develop a distinct voice and style in academic writing. Through case studies and practical strategies, this presentation will showcase the transformative potential of using fiction as a means for second language writers to confidently and authentically engage in scholarly conversations.
